In May, the Golf Classic Committee ran another very successful Classic in New Ross Golf Club. As in recent Years Mícheál 0 Muircheartaigh was in atten­dance to play and to present the many prize winners with their prizes in the Clubhouse that night. This Year Top Prize went to a local Team of Richard Tierney, Tommy Malone, Tony Malone and John Walsh. Among the many other prize winners were Pat Kavanagh Bor­risleigh (above) and Tom Walsh New Ross (bottom right). The Club greatly appreciates the support received by all of the many sponsors and all the teams who participate in the Classic every Year. Among the many locals who were in attendance on the night for the presenta­tions were Brid Kelly, Rita Kavanagh, Breda English and Anne Lyng (below). The pro­ceeds from the Annual Golf Classic are used to fund Clue- developments in The Rower and Inistioge.
