Rower Inistioge hosts its 26th Annual Golf Classic this Thursday 8th May in New Ross Golf Club. As usual, there has been a phenomenal response from sponsors and teams participating. We extend a sincere thanks to all those who have contributed in any way. 
We try to have a special guest speaker each year. Traditionally that would have been Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, a patron of the Golf Classic who sadly passed away since last year's event. 
Marty Morrissey is the special guest speaker this year and he will present the prizes. We'd encourage as many members as possible to call in to the Golf Club next Thursday at 9pm to join the "Marty Party".
The Club wishes to thank the Golf Classic Committee who run this annual event with such professionalism. The Golf Classic is the bedrock on which all Club development work has been built.
Finally, this year's Golf Classic is particularly poignant for all those involved, with the recent passing of Richard Tierney. Richie stepped into the role of Golf Classic Chairman this year, a perfect fit for a man who combined a passion for golf with his love of the Club. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
